Embracing the Fall

“Roll the windows down, this cool night air is curious”

Lyrics from the song ‘Passenger’ by Deftones ft. M.J.Keenan

Open your windows people! Let some fresh air come in and let your air-conditions relax a bit! Fall is finally here!

I know I may get some hate for expressing my love for this time of the year but let me explain myself.

Living in Greece summer can become torture sometimes for many of us. Temperatures rise up to 40°C … plus humidity! Ang yes I know what you’re thinking. You live by the sea, you fool! I know, i know… but honestly how often can you go swimming when you’re working full-time 5, sometimes 6 days a week? See? Not that often!

And should I talk about sleeping? Finally I can sleep without waking up a million times at night because I am literally melting… because my poor cat wants to cuddle but his hair is sticking all over me… because I am under attack by some bloody mosquitos!

So yes… I am definitely a fall girl! I was born in September so maybe that has something to do with it! I love the smell of fresh made coffee in the morning. I love the grey-golden skies when I’m driving at 7 am to work. I love the sound of the rain and the melancholy this season brings with it! And lets not forget the fall-fashion and makeup! Oversized hoodies, hats, coats, booties- burgundy red lips, coppery eyes, red nails…Autumn is THE season, where you can boost out your most fashionable attire!

As you can imagine I have already begun to experiment on some new autumn looks. The following is one of my favourites so far!

To achieve this look you will need:

For the eyes:

Apply Soft Ochre first all over the lid as a base. Then Texture, all over the lid as well and a bit of Swiss Chocolate in the the crease.

Finish off with some eyeliner…

For the face:

Apply your base as usual and bronze up your face by using a lighter bronzer for this season. Concentrate on the areas of your face that the sun would normally catch, such as the apples of your cheeks, nose and forehead.

For the lips:

For the nails I don’t always go matchy-matchy with my lipstick. But this time I did, and I loved it.

I have been enjoying this look lately. If you want to wear this look during the day then skip the darker color in the crease and the eyeliner and you are good to go!

What do you think? Do you have a stable fall make-up look? What is your favourite season of the year? Let me know in the comment section below!

Stay true.

Drink some pumpkin spice lattés.

  1. I love MAC products! Lipsticks, Eyeliners, Blush, I love them.
But I wasn’t happy with the mascara once in a while, maybe I’ll give them a try again.
(That was in 2010… and I am not happy with all my Mascaras at the moment. Neither Catrice (€ 3,–) nor Dior (€ 35,–) or Lancome. At least Lancome always went great, maybe I’ll give them a try too again – the next MAC Stores are in Munich or Innsbruck – both 1 hour to go by train…)

And I love Essie nail polish! They last incredibly long.
Well, maybe I should start my own blog once in a while, is it lots of work to do?

    • Try the Haute&Naughty Lash by MAC. I love it…with the other ones I am not that impressed! But if you can’t get your hands on a MAC one, then try the Maybelline ‘the Falsies black drama’. It’s amazing and really affordable compared to the other ones. Currently I am using the ‘Smoky Extravagant’ by Make up Forever but I think it dries out very quickly and also makes my lashes a bit clumpy. 😦

Essie nail polishes are the best! Unfortunately they are not that easy to find here in Greece!

and as far as blogging goes… it is really lots of work! Before I started I couldn’t even imagine how devoted you have to be. Now I admire all of the bloggers out there! I can really feel them!Just one blogpost could really take you at least one day! But if you really like the idea go for it!

      Thank u for your comment!
